The Rolling Stone has come out with a list of the 500 Greatest Songs of all time. This is a bold list that couldn’t possibly be complete or unbiased. I mean, there are only 3 songs on the list from after the millenium, one of which is “Hey Ya”, while there are 6 songs on the list by Bob Dylan written in 1965. Also, there are no Britney Spears songs, which is kind of bullshit, if you ask me. Anyway, take a look, it’s a fun diversion, even if you disagree.

Here is the sad, sad, sad story of one Indian victim of the tsunami that hit Asia this week. It’s heart-rending, even for an OG such as myself, and really puts this kind of tragedy in perspective in a way that the sheer numbers just can’t. If you feel like helping, here is a link to some aid agencies who will be assisting.

Who loves Haw Flakes? I was describing Haw Flakes to my boss Tim today, (he had never heard of them. How could he not have? Well, he is white guy from Chicago, the descendant of sturdy Norwegian stock. But I digress. Anyway, I looked them up on Google, and found that some people think they are wierd. So… I thought I would ask, who loves Haw Flakes? How would you describe them? Would you like one right now? I mean, the ingredients are haw and sugar. What’s not to like?

These videos are pretty old, and many people, espcially geeks, have seen them already, but for those who have not, here are two videos of Steve Ballmer, who I believe is the CEO of Microsoft right now. You will see that he is incredibly sweaty and loud. I love it when he screams “GIVE IT UP FOR ME!”

Here, in an article entitled Departing Health Secretary Warns of Flu Risk and Attacks on Food, Tommy G. Thompson gives a hilarious (if terrorism can be considered funny… I say yes) quote:

“For the life of me, I cannot understand why the terrorists have not attacked our food supply because it’s so easy to do.”

Hmmm. Wasn’t it your JOB to fix that?
