In belated honor of Martin Luther King Day, please enjoy this one of the great speeches in American history. This is where Barack Obama gets the “fierce urgency of now.”

“It takes being sick to remind you what a blessing it is to have our youth and health.” Who said it? Me! Is it pompus? Maybe. True? Of course.
My man purse is a little too small so I’ve set out to find a new one.I need something that doesn’t look too feminine (read, no embroidery or floral patterns), is large enough to hold my Kindle (yes, I kept it), as well as my many other items (wallet, keys, phone…).Seriously, is this too much to ask? Where does a dude go to buy such a purse? Throw me a bone y’all.
I love Steve Jobs. He is too cool for school. I’ve loved him since 1984 when I first got my Mac 128. It was love at first sight. And it has stayed strong for 24 years!I am going to start wearing black turtlenecks and jeans.
Who are you voting for this election season? As for me, I will be voting for my friend, Mr. Barack Obama.
I dislike Scrabble (or the Facebook version Scrabulous). Why? Because people make up stupid words that they don’t know the meaning of. For example, what the heck does “jeso” mean?
Also, I hate people who clog the boards. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!
Finally, stop harassing me over and over when it’s time to play my turn. I GOT THE MESSAGE THE FIRST TIME!
I’ve been futzing with my theme all evening, and I think I finally got the header right. The image in the header is from a picture I took in Oahu. Whaddya think!?!
What up world? You may have noticed that this page totally looks different now. That’s because my old crappy Tripod hosted blog was looking all raggedy, and I decided to step it up to WordPress, which is what we use on thingsthatmakeyougogreen.com. You should visit that site, because it makes me feel better when I have pageviews there.
Thanks to the magic of WordPress and Google, I was able to basically automagically import my old posts to this new blog. Sweet!
So look for dramatic new developments as I revamp the site “the site that is just looking for a reasonable reason to exist.” Maybe I’ll find a reason for it soon.
